Unbelievable episode!! During the latest trip to Seattle for Implant Pathway Session Three, Justin had the opportunity to sit down and discuss mentorship with Drs. Lisa Arthur and Erin Elliott. Jennifer Frame, RDH also joined in on the discussion. Justin recently provided a week long office mentorship to Dr. Arthur's practice. Erin Elliott recently completed Implant Pathway's Sessions 1-3. After discussing mentorship, everyone also managed to stress Tegan out. Listen to the whole episode to find out who Tegan is and why she got so stressed out! Cheers!
Dr. Lisa Arthur earned her undergraduate degree from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1997. She continued her studies at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where, graduating at the top of her class, she received her DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) in 2002. Finally Dr. Arthur completed a postgraduate general practice residency in New Jersey at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Arthur’s memberships include the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Washington State Dental Association, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

In our final interview from the Voices of Dentistry Podcast Summit 2018, we go out with style! Our guest this episode is none other than THE Tarun Agarwal, DDS— commonly known as T-BONE! He came all the way from Boston, Mass. to be with us in Scottsdale, Arizona.
On this episode, Justin and T-Bone are joined by Mike Freimuth, Randy Houska and Gabe Olson (who is still standing at this point, which is amazing). In it they go into a bit of banter back and forth before going into details about a charity campaign that will ultimately raise $50,000 for a charity of Sully Sullivan's (from the Millennial Dentist) choice, in exchange for shaving his head! More details on that to come.
Unfortunately, this podcast came to an abrupt halt mid-way through because someone touched the record button and paused recording, unbeknownst to everyone. Yes, we're amateurs. I guess that's always a danger of drinking on the job! Anyway, please enjoy what we have recorded from this podcast and definitely check out T-Bone's podcast, T-Bone Speaks, if you haven't already.
Cheers!
Justin, Gabe and Mike Freimuth had a chance to sit down in the Productive Dentist Academy's "Pathogen Lounge" at the Voices of Dentistry Podcast Summit 2018 from Scottsdale, Arizona. In this episode, they go into details about how big of an effect germs and bacteria have on Implant Dentistry. We also witness the steady decline of Gabe's vocabulary as the podcast wears on.
Mike Freimuth, Randy Houska and Gabe Olson had a chance to sit down with a current dental student, Nicole Sirounian, at the Voices of Dentistry Podcast Summit 2018.
In this episode, Justin sits down with returning guest who needs little introduction, Bruce Baird of the Productive Dentist Academy. Randy Houska and Mike Freimuth take on co-hosting duties.
Bruce B. Baird, DDS is a well respected cosmetic and family dentist in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. His practice is located in Granbury, Texas. Dr. Baird’s expertise as an implant dentist has afforded him the skill to perform dental implant surgery and restorations since the mid-1980s. In 1990, he established the Texas Centers for Implant Dentistry, a mobile practice that allowed him to work with more than 25 doctors in the region. Recognizing his ability to help other dentists to achieve the same success he has experienced in his practice, Dr. Baird partnered with Vicki McManus, RDH to create Productive Dentist Academy. The Academy has been an invaluable resource to dentists nationwide.
Justin is joined by special guest co-hosts Drs. Randy Houska and Mike Freimuth (Gabe was swiftly kicked out once the topic of Impant Dentistry came up— sorry Gabe!). They were joined by a super cool and very easy to talk to implantologist, Dr. August de Oliverira at the Voices of Dentistry Podcast Summit 2018. It's a very fun episode with a unique blend of discussion about implant dentistry, continued education programs and penis pumps. Blame Dr. Mike Freimuth for the latter topic. Anyway, it's a fun and information listen— check it out! Check out more about Dr. August de Oliveira by visiting http://digitalenamel.com
Dr August de Oliveira graduated from dental school in 1997 from the University of Washington and completed his General Practice Residency in Los Angeles in 1998. Dr de Oliveira has been lecturing on 3D technology since 2004, when he started as a CEREC Basic trainer. Since 2008 he has been involved with Implant Direct’s R and D department developing Guided Surgery Software and Hardware and testing their CAD Milled Bars and Substructure Department. Dr de Oliveira has written two books on Implantology: Implants Made Easy and Guided Implantology Made Easy. He has been involved with beta testing Sirona’s Sidexis Program, as well as developing the Opti and CEREC Milled Surgical Guides. Dr de Oliveira lectures nationwide for Sirona on the Galileos Cone Beam system and Sirona Guided Implant Surgery. He also teaches for Implant Direct at their Las Vegas Educational Facility and with the Engel Institute in Charlotte, NC. Dr de Oliveira lives and practices in Los Angeles CA.
What happens when Dr. John "The Worm" Landers and the Pasty Gangsta aka Renaissance Millennial, Jeffrey Smith, go rogue and interview the lovely ladies, Sarah and Kat, from CE Zoom? Well, find out by listening! But we'll give you a hint— there's not a whole lot of dental content. HOWEVER, we do talk about exactly what CE Zoom is all about and Sarah and Kat's story about how they came to be not only best friends forever, but also business partners! Oh, and then we discuss relevant topics such as Danica Patrick, ISIS merchandise and what goes into making a hip-hop music video (check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iTceWp8KnM).
CE Zoom is a pretty handy tool for dental professionals who have always wished to offer continued education, but didn't quite know where to begin. CE Zoom will not only track, store, and remind you of your continuing education requirements, but it simplifies check-in procedures for CE courses and conferences, instantly generates continuing education certificates that will immediately be stored and saved never to be misplaced or lost again.
The Voices of Dentistry Podcast Summit 2018 was proud to use CE Zoom for CE credit distribution and registration.
Check out CE Zoom by visiting https://www.cezoom.com/ and let Sarah know what your goals are for offering continued education. If they don't currently offer something— speak up, and Sarah and Kat will brainstorm together and come up with a solution for you and your educational needs!
Is there ever such thing as relevant content on our podcast? Sometimes, but this definitely isn't one of them. Once again from the Voices of Dentistry Podcast Summit 2018, Justin is joined by an all star line-up of conversationalists— Drs. John Landers (The Worm), Mike Freimuth (The Nighthawk) and Flash Davies (The Flash). After kicking things off with a shot of Fireball, these guys dive into some meaningful discussion of the use of bidets and going commando. It's always a party when The Worm decides to show up— and this episode won't disappoint! Enjoy, friends!
Kicking off the first day of the Voices of Dentistry Podcast Summit 2018 with Tiger Safarov, who is pretty the epitome of The American Dream. What so many immigrants want in life is to come to America where they have the freedom to build something for themselves, for their own lives, for their families. It's definitely not easy, but as Tiger has shown, if you have the drive and are willing to hustle 24/7, The American Dream isn't some far fetched idea.
Tiger’s journey in America began when he emigrated from his home country of Russia to the United States in 2005. At the start, Tiger began learning English while driving to work and singing along to Frank Sinatra. With a strong drive to succeed, he started in his early years working multiple jobs during the day and attending night classes at the local community college. A few years later in 2007, at the age of 22, Tiger founded Siegel Construction while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Over the years, Siegel Construction became one of the premier dental and medical design-build firms in Chicago with the aspiration to continue growing throughout the Midwest.
In early 2015, Tiger successfully transitioned from Siegel Construction and today the company continues to thrive and achieve big goals. An entrepreneur at heart, Tiger is currently developing another startup in the dental industry.
